Mr. Clark: Possibly.

Jeff: Oh, ummm, would you happen to know which 10 employees?

Mr. Clark: Well, for the benefit of those involved, I'd rather not say. I will say, however, that the other board members and I do NOT see eye to eye on this.

Jeff: You don't?
そうなんですか？

Mr. Clark: No. I have long been vehemently opposed to cutting staff. They, on the other hand, seem convinced that such measures will lead to greater stability.
そうだ。私は従業員を切ることに長い間激しく反対してきた。他方で、アイツらは、そんな策がもっと大きな安定につながるだろうと思い込んでいるようなんだ。

Jeff: I see. Well, may YOUR view prevail. Good luck at the next board meeting!
