Mr. Clark: Jeff, I have yet to receive any info on tomorrow's meeting. Could you tell me what's on the table?

Jeff: Oh, sorry. I've been on the phone all morning sorting out some problems with one of our distributors and haven't had time to send out any emails yet.

Mr. Clark: Well, could you give me some general idea at least? I'd prefer
not to go in unprepared and speak off the cuff.

Jeff: Yes, of course. I think there'll be the usual items. And then Johnson
from Accounting is to give a presentation, which he's worked a great deal on, I understand.

Mr. Clark: What kind of presentation?

Jeff: Well, he seems to think that we'd do well to cut certain recreational
expenses from the budget completely -- like for golf, tennis, and sailing
-- and thereby save tens of thousands of dollars in company money.
えーと。いくらかの交遊費――ゴルフやテニスやヨットにあたるようなもの――を予算から完全に削除してそれによって会社のお金で何万ドルも節約するのがよいだろうと彼は考えているようです。

Mr. Clark: Oh he does, does he? Well I think (that) Johnson would do well to revise his presentation and thereby save his job!
