Jeff: Mr. Clark! Yes, well, I have found myself in a bit of a tight spot without her help, but I guess I'll manage. Speaking of Noriko, I heard some rumor about the real reason for her transfer to L.A. -- something about the company needing a new west coast regional manager?
どうも、クラークさん！ はい。でも、彼女の手助けが無くなって少しきつくなりました。でも、なんとかしようと思います。記子といえば、彼女のロスへの転勤の理由についてのある噂を耳にしました。――会社が西海岸地区の新部長を必要としていることについてですけれど。

Mr.Clark: Well, as you know, the current manager there has come under criticism for poor leadership. And his recently discovered personal investments in rival companies fly in the face of proper company ethics. Noriko, on the other hand, has demonstrated great leadership skills, as well as a refined set of ethics. Yes, I think she would make an excellent regional manager.
そう。わかっているだろうが、そこの現在の部長は指導力不足のために最近批判を受けてしまった。それに彼の最近発覚したライバル企業への個人的投資は、まっとうな企業倫理に全く反することだ。他方で、記子は、洗練された倫理観とともに、すばらしい指導力を実践して示す。そう。彼女が優秀な地区部長になってくれると考えているよ。
