Jeff: We’re all scrambling to come up with new ideas to boost sales. After you turn your computer on and see the boss’s e-mail, you’ll understand.
販売を増やすために新しいアイディアを急いで考え出そうとしているところだ。君がパソコンを立ち上げて、ボスからの電子メールを見れば、わかるだろうよ。


Noriko: He sent out an e-mail to everyone?
彼はみんなに電子メールを送ったの？


Jeff: Yeah. Stressing the need for new ideas, he says he’ll be forced to consider cutting the salaries of people who don’t contribute at least 2 suggestions by tomorrow. But you know, that kind of pressure actually prevents me from coming up with anything! I mean, I can’t think of one thing!
