Jeff: Actually, yes. Recently, I've been at war with a large swarm of bees
and last night made an all-out attempt to get rid of them.
(実は、そうなんだ。最近、蜂の大群と戦争状態で、そして昨晩は駆除するため徹底的に頑張ったよ)。

Noriko: A large swarm of bees?! Where?

Jeff: In one of the walls of my house! Unfortunately, they set their sights on an area above my living room window, and then made a large nest inside the wall. So, every night I've been propping up my ladder and filling in cracks to seal them off, but they keep finding new ones to use the next day.
(僕の家の一つの壁のなかで！　あいにく、居間の窓の上のところに狙いをつけて、それからその壁の中に大きな巣を作ったんだ。それで毎晩梯子を立てかけて、そして締め出すためにわずかな隙間を詰めてきたけど、やつらは翌日には出入りするための新しいひびを見つけ続けるのさ)。

Noriko: You're doing it yourself?! Don't you think this calls for a professional?

Jeff: Maybe, but I think I've succeeded. I didn't see any flying around this morning.
