Mr. Clark: I don't buy that for a second! In the last quarter, their sales ranked on top! 'Walking on eggshells'! What's their telephone number? I'd like to give them an earful, and tell them we'll just find another supplier! Maybe THAT will sink in!

Mr. Clark: Jeff! You look terrible! What happened to you?! Did you get into a fight?

Jeff: You could say that. I had just come around a corner on my way here when I was attacked by a dog.

Jeff: A big one. I don't know. It suddenly just lunged right at me.

Mr. Clark: What did you do?
君はどうしたんだい？

Jeff: Well, using my laptop as a weapon, I was somehow able to keep it at bay, which was no easy task. I did, however, manage to deliver a few good blows.
それで、僕のノートパソコンを武器として使って、なんとか犬を避けられたんですが、それが大変でした。とはいえ、なんとか効果的な数発をお見舞いしてやりました。

Mr. Clark: My goodness! Is your laptop OK?

Jeff: Yes. People flocked to the scene but no one stepped in to help. However, just when the dog seemed to be winning, I suddenly remembered I had the most effective means of stopping its attack, right in my own pocket!
